
Greetings From Our President

Welcome! It is my sincere pleasure to bring greetings on behalf of the members of
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, ® Gamma Pi Omega Chapter, we
welcome you to our chapter’s website! It is my privilege to serve as the 2025-
2026 Chapter President to these phenomenal women.
Established in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® is the oldest
sorority established by African American women in our nation. Under the current
leadership of our 31st International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, our
2022-2026 International Program Initiatives are appropriately themed, Soaring
to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood™. The initiatives address six focused
areas: Strengthening Our Sisterhood™, Empowering Our Families™, Building
Our Economic Wealth™, Enhancing Our Environment™, Advocating for Social
Justice™, and Uplifting Our Local Community™.
Under the leadership of our South Atlantic Regional Director, Tiffany Moore
Russell, we T.U.N.E. In and work to Transcend limitations, Unite and work
together to reach our goals, Nurture one another, and Empower ourselves and
our community to learn and improve every day.
Since 1942, the women of Gamma Pi Omega have served the cities of Fort Valley
and Perry, GA; as well as Peach, Macon, and Crawford counties and beyond. We
are also the sponsoring graduate chapter for undergraduates, at Fort Valleys
State University, Alpha Beta Chapter. Several significant signature programs that
our Chapter has sponsored over the years include Community Health Fair,
Nursing Home Pageant, Sisterhood Luncheon, Back to School Bash, Boys & Girls
Club of Fort Valley (now Youth Center of Excellence) Santa Shoppe,
Thanksgiving Baskets and more.
The Gamma Pi Omega Chapter continues our legacy of Service to All Mankind as
established by our charter members in Middle Georgia and throughout the world.
We remain committed to the ideals and tenets of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated ® .
